Disclaimer
If you intend to ask, answer, or respond to any question concerning companies, stock
quotes, investments or securities, the phrase "Let the investor beware"
is apt. The Forums are provided for informational purposes only, and no Forum Content
is intended for trading or investing purposes. The Company shall not be responsible
or liable for the accuracy, usefulness or availability of any Forum Content, and
shall not be responsible or liable for any trading or investment decisions based
on such information. By using our Forums you may be exposed to content that is false,
indecent, misleading, objectionable, offensive, or simply inappropriate and that
we cannot guarantee that Forum posters will tell the truth. The Company does not
evaluate or guarantee the accuracy of any questions, answers or other posted information
on StockResearchPortal.com.
- You Assume Responsibility for Content that You Post. You are legally
responsible for any Content that you post on this website.
- No Cheerleading. Our Forums are not communication media for stock
‘cheerleaders’, hypesters, promoters or ‘touters’. You agree not to write about
a company or a company’s outstanding shares, options or warrants with the intention
of increasing or decreasing a company’s share, option or warrant price and sell
or buy same into resulting strength or weakness.
- Best Practices. When posting to the Forums you agree to be descriptive,
specific, and succinct in your posts; ensure that your post is relevant to the particular
forum discussion posted to; and to make a good faith effort to post helpful advice.
You agree to act responsibly when posting to the Forums; to ensure the content you
post is in the public interest; to ensure the sources underlying your posts are
both current and reliable; to ensure your posts are balanced, factual, impersonal;
and that your posts take into consideration both sides of any contentious issue.
- Use of Real Name When Posting. You can only post to our Forums
if you use your real name as shown on your passport or driver’s licence. You agree
to maintain your Profile and registration data accurate and up-to-date.
- Use of ‘Real Picture’ When Posting. While we encourage you to add
a real picture of yourself to your profile, we do not insist on this. We reserve
the right to remove any picture that we, in our sole and absolute discretion, consider
‘offensive’ and add an innocuous ‘placebo picture’ to your profile instead.
- Disclosure of Possible Conflicts of Interest. You must disclose
your specific involvement with any company about whom you either ask a Question,
or give an Answer or Answer Supplement by completing our Disclosures Form found following each Question, Answer and Answer Supplement template.
Your disclosures are shown on each post that you make.
- First Post in a Thread Must Be A Question. A forum ‘thread’ is
initiated when a user poses a question that he/she wants answered by other users.
All initiations of a thread must be in the form of a question. Questions are requests
for information, and not information offerings or comments. Information offerings
or comments made in the guise of questions are not accepted in our Forums. Each
question must be stated as such and must end with a ‘question mark’ – which ‘question
mark’ is automatically provided by our programming.
- Subsequent Posts to a Thread must be an on-topic Answer. Answers
and answer supplements to questions must pertain to the question to which they are
responding.
- No Self Rating. No user can ‘rate’ their own posts.
- No Repeated Ratings. Subject to Rule 9 of No Self Rating, any registered
user can ‘rate’ a question, answer or answer supplement. A user is limited to one
rating per post.
- Penalties for Negative Ratings. Any user who accumulates a balance
of 20 ‘Net Negative Votes’ (total ‘positive votes’ minus total ‘negative votes’)
will on the date of : a) the first occurrence lose the privilege of posting on our
Forums for 30 calendar days from the time they accumulate 20 ‘Net Negative Votes’,
at which time their ‘Net Vote Total will be reset to ‘0’; and b) the second occurrence
lose the privilege of posting on our Forums for an additional 30 calendar days from
the second time they accumulate 20 ‘Net Negative Votes’, at which time their ‘Net
Vote Total’ again will be reset to ‘0’; and,
c) the third occurrence will permanently lose the privilege of posting on our Forums.
